2Leaky!!  Mar 15, 2010
These bottles have to be set upward. I threw them in the daiper bag, and they leaked on more than one occasion. I am changing bottles becasue they are such a pain.

5Definite Must For Gassy Babies!!!  Mar 13, 2010
I think we tried EVERY bottle possible with my daughter because she had severe stomach problems from the day she was born. We even tried those pricey Avent bottles that were supposed to be "amazing" but they did nothing to help her stomach. SO we finally got to the drop in bottles and you could see a difference in literally one bottle! Her stomach problems are nearly non existant now and we know its the bottle because we gave her an Avent one day in the car and she had problems for the rest of the day. These bottles are definitly worth it! Love love love getting to see my daughter be happy and healthy with no tummy problems!!

5Great value!  Jan 21, 2010
I am expecting and I purchased this set for the new baby. I hated cleaning traditional bottles when my son was an infant and remembered how convenient these were in the past. I was really surprised what a great value this set is. It comes with 5 bottles, 5 nipples, liners, caps and mine even came with a bonus pacifier! Not bad for [...]! All-in-all I could see how this would make a great and practical baby shower gift. In fact, if anyone I know gets pregnant I'll probably come back here and order another!

2Because of Three Issues, We Stopped Using the Playtex System  Dec 13, 2009
We've had this system for 1 month now, using it daily. It's worked pretty well, although there are three big issues we have with it.

1. If you aren't filling the bags completely full, then you have to collapse them after putting the nipple on to get rid of excess air. If, like us, you are only putting in 2 oz at a time, this is a royal pain. If you have to put the bottle down for a minute, say to adjust positions, check for poop, or wipe your newborn's chin, then air gets sucked back in through the nipple, and you have to press it out before feeding again. Neither my fingers nor my wife's are long enough to do this (and we have normal sized hands), so we have to use the end of a smaller bottle or tube to press. It's really a pain, and becomes extra important at the end of the bottle.

2. Because you have to collapse the bottle like this, it becomes very, very difficult to measure how much your newborn has drunk. That's a major problem initially when the difference between 1 and 1-1/2 ounces is important.

3. This is the biggest: we've had the system fail once, catastrophically breaking the seal where the nipple screws on, and spilling milk all over. That just happened today, and we will not be using the system again, as that sort of failure is not acceptable. It was probably because the bag didn't seat properly, and it slipped out from where it gets clamped down. But the rim on the bags where this happens is very narrow. Too narrow. It is a design flaw, and, from our perspective, a fatal one.

5Only one that worked  Oct 27, 2009
My daughter wasn't drinking out of the bottle. The laytex nipple was the only one shes takes. Its soft and is the most like a breast. But I didn't know why she wouldn't drink the bottle until I smelled the milk. It had gone bad. So I learned that if you heat the milk ( not boil it) right after you pump then store it in good bags the milk stays fresh, and baby eats while i'm at work. There is no better feeling for you (and grandma whos watching her) when you know that shes happy while you are at work.
