My children love this little playhouse. It's sized just right and gives them more headroom than many competing products.

I purchased this for my 4 year old little girl and it looks great and she loves it. It was up and together in less than a 1/2 hour and all her cousins and little kids that came over Christmas day would not leave it alone. They were drawn to the house like little magnets. They love it!!!!!It has three windows (one really large one on the right side) so it has lots of light inside and working little shutters. Very well built and sturdy. I am very pleased with all our step 2 products. you get what you pay for.

We purchased the playhouse recently. The directions are easy to follow, and our son loves it. It is very sturdy. He especially likes the water fountain and the doorbell. The telephone is nothing special, and we keep it with his indoor toys.
He loves greeting people at his door. The price was very reasonable. The delivery people were very nice; they carried it to our location.

The kids loved this before I could even finish putting together. Hardest part was installing the fountain, not looking forward to taking apart when batteries die, assuming I should want to do so. Other reviewers were prescient, one of the first things Ms-2yrs-old did was test the phone out in the fountain. It is now drying and hopefully will recover. Mr-Too-Tall-7yrs-old could even stand up in this house, so I'm glad I chose it over smaller houses.
Pros: Door, doorbell, mailslot, shutters, and sink; spacious; getting for $[..] at TRU locally; kids happy.
Cons: My version no longer has the back door secret tunnel hatch. I wish there were actual shelves or working clock built into the walls instead of stickers (like Storybook cottage) but I guess not worth additional $[..] for that. Would be a good idea to extend sink/grill area into bar/table like Little Tikes Picnic on the Patio Playhouse. That would be worth an extra $[..]. I am going to have to find a table that fits inside. Had I gotten a bonus this year I would have gone for the Storybook Cottage.
Despite cons, kids happy, I'm happy, now to play!

Great House, Kids Love the Fountain Sep 18, 2008
I got this for my grandkids when they come to visit and they loved it right from the start. The fountain is great fun on a hot day and the house is very cute with the doorbell, kitchen sink, and crawl through door in the back.
